Melissa & JB were one of my many 2020 couples affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and one of my first “microweddings” as restrictions started to ease in the city of Boston. They were originally supposed to get married Memorial Day Weekend at the OceanCliff in Newport but had been planning to do a small ceremony at Saint Cecilia Church in Boston the Thursday before. When Covid postponed their big celebration, the small ceremony became their true wedding! And then we will celebrate their 1st Anniversary this May in Newport!
On this day I learned the magic of weddings during a pandemic: plenty of time for portraits in a completely EMPTY city!
