Our Engagement Photos | Belmont, MA

So I’ve been sharing engagement photos on this blog for over five years now. Totally never thought I would ever be sharing my own! It feels surreal to be on the other side of the camera and wedding planning right along side my couples. I understand so much more now what the pictures I take mean to my clients. These pictures captured us and our relationship perfectly.. right down to the italian ice in bed! (if you don’t know that story, you should listen to the podcast, ep20!) I can’t even choose a few favorites to print out.. I’m pretty much speechless. Let’s just get on to the pics, and of course, THANK YOUUU to Andrea of Servidone Studios for the amazing photos, Christy & Co for hair/makeup, BHLDN for the tulle skirt and lace top, and Stitch Fix for the pink dress… and Dan for making me laugh so much during this shoot, for going along with all my outfit changes, and for generally being super handsome and perfect : )

I love them all SO MUCH! I really really love that you did some in your home, that is just so special! I am hoping to do some family / lifestyle / newborn photos in our home after the baby is born because it is where we spend the most time together and where we will be really starting our life as a family of 3 so I think taking the photos in our own home instead of in a studio would be so special 🙂

So funny, we weren’t initially supposed to do photos in our home but they are definitely some of my favorites!! They really feel like us! Definitely do newborn photos at home when the baby comes, they’re so special to have! The early newborn days go by so fast!

  2. Lindsay says:

Just gorgeous, hun.  That smile of yours just says it all.  You both look over the moon. 🙂

  3. These are all so gorgeous!  I love the coziness and intimacy of the ones you took in your home. Your house photographs well and seems to get great natural light!  And I love all of your outfits but my favorite is that BHLDN outfit – it’s such a romantic look and looks perfect on you.  BHLDN should buy rights to use on their website!  🙂
After the baby comes, I really want to do our newborn photos in our home, but if we are still in our current home I am not sure how well it will photograph as I haven’t done all that much with the space since we know we aren’t going to be here much longer…  Fingers are crossed that we will find a new place before the baby comes and that it’s a bit more photographable. Although if we are still here, I am sure the photos will still turn out great!

Please please do newborn photos in your home, they are my FAVORITE! The key is to find a room that has a neutral wall (white, grey) and a couple of windows and you’re set! I am SO excited for you, if I haven’t already conveyed that!!! haha 🙂

Pictures are beautiful!  As beautiful of your photo’s of Renee & George’s wedding.  You both look so very happy…  Congratulations!

  5. Andrea says:

You are such a great couple! So glad you shared about Dan eating his ice treats in bed… hysterical!

  6. Kelly says:

I love these all so much. In case that wasn’t clear. Lol.

  7. Hillary says:

The photos in the grassy meadow with your stunning BHLDN outfit, ahhhh (heart eyes emoji!).
I can see why it’d be hard to choose which to print, all of them are adorable 🙂

    P.S. When is the wedding!?
