Meagan & Chris’s classic, elegant Newport, RI wedding took place at the impressive New York Yacht Club. After some fears about rain earlier in the week, they celebrated on the most beautiful mid October day: perfectly overcast for most of the day with the sun even popping out in the evening in time for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I couldn’t have crafted a more perfect day for M&C myself. Meagan planned every detail of the day so beautifully: from the mismatched bridesmaid dresses to the reception table cloths and decor. My favorite parts of the day were when Meagan and Chris took a cruise around Newport harbor in Meagan’s father’s boat, “Jubilee”, and when Meagan and her father made their long, dramatic walk from the boat all the way down the aisle closer to the Club.
And of course, I can’t forget their first dance! I have NEVER seen anyone dance like that before in my life, I wish I had a video so I could show you but you’ll just have to trust me – these two can dance! I loved being a part of Meagan & Chris’s day and I am SO happy for them that they got the beautiful wedding day surrounded by friends and family that they had dreamed of for so long!
